DBX 4BX 3-Band Linear Expander with Remote

This is a pro DBX 4BX Dynamic Range Expander with impact restiration.  A rare example of a very fine piece of equipment that will enhance the performance of any sound system. Restores the dynamic range and impact of original recordings that have been squashed by compressors and limiters in the process of mastering.  For you vinyl lovers, this is a MUST HAVE!  Not only more punch but less noise, clicks and pops.  Much smoother and refined than the older 3BX model.
I am the original owner and an expert on its use and functions as an audio engineer for over 55 years.  I will be happy to assist the winning bidder with setup and full understanding of all its features.  I really hate to sell it but I am too old to appreciate the high performance advantages any more.  I haven't used it in 15 years.
The unit is in excellent condition, works perfectly and includes removable rack mount hardware and the original remote control.  A 9v battery is required for the remote.  I will remove the rack ears for safety in shipping.

Also, the 4BX is the successor to 3BX and offers impact restoration as well as transition level controls and expansion ratio.  All handled by the remote from your listening position.  I don't now why the 3BX models seem to be asking the same prices as 4BX.  It's older and less comprehensive control.
