dCS Paganini DAC (Rossini Predecessor) with Volume Control

For sale is a dCS Paganini DAC in excellent condition. It is a world class piece of kit that was the #2 DAC in the previous generation dCS line up: below the flagship Scarlatti and above the Puccini and Debussy. Sounds wonderful with huge soundstage, deep bass, and highly detailed with an amazing ability to sort out complex music (orchestra) while being smooth and never harsh.
It is flashed to the latest 1.3 version, supporting DSD via DoP. It also has great features such as word clock input and output and dual AES inputs. I used the word clock input from dCS Network Bridge clock out for a nice improvement vs carrying the clock signal over SPDIF data cable.
I also have used the volume control to go direct to power amplifier with great results.
The unit is in very good condition. Just a small ding on the front plate, a little rubbing on the power button label, one light scratch 1/2-3/4" on the left side, and a dust sized nick on the top plate.
The remote is a little banged up but works just fine and is very solidly built, like a maglite.
I do not have the original box, but will pack it securely for shipping.
