Endicott Johnson Corporation, Endicott, NY 9 1/4" x 13" x 7 1/4" Cardboard Shipping Box/Carton for Sample Shoes.  Has a metered postage label from Endicott NY dated Oct 22, 1957 with postage of 59 cents.  There is a blue and white Endicott Johnson shipping label on it addressed to my Grandfather, who ran a shoe store.  Stamped faintly near the top of the box is "Sample Rush Ship Today Sure".  It was put together with brown paper tape - the kind you you had to wet the glue to get it to stick.  Box is stamped "Binghamton Container Co. Inc.  Bursting test 200 lbs per sq. inch"
The box is in very good condition for being 63 years old.  It's that nice, heavy cardboard that you don't see very often today.  Found it in Mom's estate.
Great little piece of ephemera for the Endicott Johnson or Endicott, NY collector or for someone who collects American shoe manufacturer memorabilia.
