    VINTAGE ORIGINAL FRUIT CRATE LABEL
    Colorful vintage 1940s lithograph printed paper fruit crate label measuring 9-1/8" deep by 10-1/3" wide. Featuring an iconic Indian in feathered headdress, it advertises BIG CHIEF BRAND CANADIAN APPLES, Empire Grown, Packed and shipped by PALMER PRODUCE CO., LTD., SALMON ARM, B.C. - this would have decorated the side of a forty pound crate. Printed by P.C. SMITH LITHO. CO., LTD. condition is very nice with no tears, holes, writing or damage -- there is a hint of edge wear, crimping and tanning to the back from age. Always planned on framing this -- just never got around to it -- fun addition to any fruit label collection or display!
